        Care:

        WASHING AND CONDITIONING
Extensions should be washed in lukewarm water to remove any environmental and product build-up

        • Always wash extensions with a gentle sulphate-free shampoo and conditioner to protect them.
        • Deep condition, when necessary.
        • Never comb through extensions when wet.
        • Do not go to sleep with wet hair.

        STYLING
Before styling with a hot tool, use a heat-protectant spray on your Bellami Extensions.

        • Only use hot tools when the Extensions are completely dry.
        • Before using a curling iron, we recommend Bellami Flawless Blend.
        • Before using a flat iron, we recommend BELLAMI Total Defense.
        • Gently brush extensions throughout the day to prevent tangles. We recommend the is. Salon Dentangling Brush for best results.
        • Avoid the use of oils or silicon-based products near the attachment points.

        STORAGE

        • Store extensions in a dry, flat place when not in use.
        • Brush gently before and after use and close the clips before storing.
        • Store away from UV light, to protect your color from fading.

        ABOUT VITAMIN SEAL
All consumer clip-ins and professional extensions have a vitamin seal that acts as a protective layer. We recommending  must wash their clip-ins before wearing them, and stylists must wash them before installing them on a guest.

Washing the extensions removes the vitamin seal; with it, some color may wash off. This is normal and does not affect the color or extensions' quality or longevity. It is typical after hair coloring in salons or at our factories.

Although color bleeding may last a few washes, most will occur during the initial wash. The runoff will be more visible for darker colors.

        HOW TO USE:

        • SECTIONING
To start, use a rat-tail comb to make a parting from mid-ear to mid-ear at the neck. Make sure the line is straight and horizontal. Next, secure all the hair above mid-ear into a high ponytail or with clips.
        • CREATE A FOUNDATION
To create a secure foundation for the clips, gently backcomb or tease the hair one inch from the base. This process requires three passes at most. You can also use dry shampoo or hair spray to create a more secure foundation.
        • CLIP THEM IN
Depending on the size of your foundation, choose the 2-clip or 3-clip wefts. For more comfort, we recommend leaving a ½-1" perimeter of natural hair around your hairline. Start by gently opening each clip. Then, bring the clips into the foundation and close them.
        • REPEAT YOUR SECTIONING
As you move towards the top of your head, keep making horizontal partings and clipping in the wefts row by row. Separate each row with 1-3 inches of natural hair. Once you reach the widest section of your hair, use whichever two wefts will fully cover the foundation.
        • REMAINING WEFTS
Use the remaining 2-clip wefts on the sides of your head, placing them about four fingers above your ears.

        FAQ:

        • Do I need to wash Bellami Extensions before wearing them or installing them on a guest?
All consumer clip-ins and professional extensions have a protective vitamin seal. Before wearing or installing them, it's necessary to wash the extensions.
        • The color is bleeding during the first wash; is that normal?
Washing may cause some excess color to come off, but this is normal and doesn't affect the quality or color of the extensions. Color bleeding may occur during the initial wash and last a few washes, especially for darker shades.
        • How often should Bellami clip-ins be washed?
ONLY wash them when they look and feel like they need it. Since they don't receive the scalp's natural oils, they are prone to dryness, so you don't need to wash them as often as your hair. However, if you feel buildup on them and they're dull and lifeless—it's time for a wash!
        • After washing, how should you dry the clip-ins?
Hang them on the Extension Holder, then apply a leave-in conditioner and let them air dry. You can also apply a heat protectant and blow dry the extensions. The holder also makes it easy to curl or straighten the extensions before installing them.
        • Can you sleep in clip-ins?
No. Sleeping in clip-ins is uncomfortable and can damage the clips and cause matting and tangling.
        • Why are my Extensions shedding?
Some shedding is normal during the first couple of wears. But if shedding is excessive, please contact us.
        • How long do Bellami Extensions last?
With proper care, they may last 6-12 months or longer. Their lifespan will also depend on how often they are worn.
